Marbella and Puerto Banús. The western Costa del Sol is the classic drive for a supercar or a premium grand tourer. Evenings around Puerto Banús are busy, so plan where you will park before you arrive. Daytime is easier for the coast road.
Ronda and the Serranía. This is the choice for driving rather than posing. The road climbs into the mountains through long curves, and it suits a car with good steering feel. In Ronda, park near the edge of the old town, because the central streets are tight.
Nerja and the Axarquía. Head east along the A-7 for a calmer coastline, then turn inland toward whitewashed villages such as Frigiliana. Streets in the villages are narrow, so leave the car at the edge and walk in. An early start keeps the coast road pleasant.
Antequera and El Torcal. Inland Andalusia offers open roads, farmland and limestone scenery away from the beach traffic. It works well as a full-day drive. The final approach to El Torcal is winding, so allow time and drive it without rushing.
Mijas and the Sierra de Mijas. A short hillside drive from the coast gives views over the Mediterranean without a long day behind the wheel. Mijas Pueblo has limited space, so arrive earlier in the day. It suits a lunch stop before you return to the city.
