Cookie Policy
Last updated:
This Cookie Policy explains what is stored on your device, and which external services your browser contacts, when you visit supercardriveclub.com. It is written for everyone who browses our fleet, sends an enquiry or taps a phone or WhatsApp link on the site, wherever in the European Union they live.
Super Car Drive Club is a European luxury car rental platform that brings premium, sports and supercar options together across 39 cities in France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Monaco, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. Because one site serves all of these destinations, the page below lists every technology the site uses, so that you can see exactly what happens in your browser. The rules that apply are Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), as implemented in the national law of each EU country.

What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to save on your device and send back on later visits. Similar technologies do the same job in other ways. The two that matter here are local storage, which keeps small pieces of data in your browser until they expire or you delete them, and session storage, which keeps data only until you close the browser tab.
Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), as implemented in each EU country, applies to storing information on your device and to reading it afterwards. It covers all of these technologies, not only cookies, which is why this page describes local storage and session storage as well.
Does this website set cookies, and how do we measure visits?
The site sets no cookies of its own. We use no third-party analytics, no advertising trackers and no social-media trackers.
We do count visits, using our own script served from our own domain. It records:
- the pages viewed and the time spent on each page;
- the referring website and any campaign parameters in the link, such as UTM tags or an advertising click ID;
- the device type, browser, operating system, screen size and browser language;
- the country, which is derived from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored.
When you send an enquiry or tap a WhatsApp or phone link, that action is linked to your visit. This tells us which channel brought the enquiry. To recognise a visit across pages, the script keeps random visitor and session identifiers in your browser's local storage. They contain no name, email address or phone number, and they expire 30 days after your last visit. You can clear them at any time.
What do we store in your browser?
Three entries are kept in your browser by the site itself. None of them contains contact details.
- Cookie notice (local storage): one entry remembers that you closed the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every page. It has no automatic expiry and stays until you clear your browser storage.
- Visit measurement identifiers (local storage): one entry holds the random visitor and session identifiers described above. It expires 30 days after your last visit.
- Selected car (session storage): one entry remembers which car you clicked, so the enquiry form can be prefilled with it. It is deleted when you close the tab or send the form.
The hosting provider that serves our static website also keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, requested page and browser) for a short period for security. These logs are written on the server and are not stored on your device.
Which third parties receive your IP address?
Some parts of the site load resources from external providers. Your browser contacts these providers directly, so each of them receives your IP address, as with any internet request. None of them sets cookies for us.
- Google Fonts (Google): the web fonts used across the site are loaded from Google Fonts.
- jsDelivr CDN: the phone-number field in our enquiry forms uses the intl-tel-input library, which is loaded from jsDelivr.
- unpkg.com: the destinations map on the homepage loads the Leaflet library from unpkg.com.
- CARTO: the same map loads its map tiles from CARTO, based on OpenStreetMap data.
WhatsApp buttons work differently. They load nothing from WhatsApp and set nothing on this site. Only after you tap one does the site record the click in our booking system, as described in our Privacy Policy, and then open WhatsApp. The conversation itself takes place on WhatsApp (Meta) under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
How can you control storage in your browser?
You can view, block and delete local storage and session storage in your browser's settings or developer tools, usually under privacy, site data or storage. Clearing the site's data removes the cookie notice entry and the visit measurement identifiers. Closing a tab removes the session-storage entry. If you clear them, the cookie notice may appear again and your next visit will be counted as a new one.
Most browsers also let you block third-party requests with extensions or content-blocking settings. If you block Google Fonts, the site will display in a default font. If you block the jsDelivr, unpkg.com or CARTO requests, the phone-number field may lose its country selector and the homepage map may not display. You can still reach us by email, phone or WhatsApp, and every enquiry form still works.
What happens if this page changes, and who can you contact?
We will update this page whenever the technologies on the site change. If we ever add optional cookies, such as for analytics or marketing, we will ask for your consent before setting them and will describe them here first.
For questions about this policy or about your personal data, write to [email protected]. We answer requests within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity first. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may complain to the data protection authority of the EU country where you live.
